President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan sent a congratulatory message to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV on the occasion of his election as the Supreme Pontiff of Rome.

The message reads:

“Armenia highly values the historically close ties with the Holy See, the spiritual and cultural shared values, and the traditional friendship that form a strong foundation for enriching the bilateral agenda and deepening further cooperation.

I wish You good health, success, and strength to lead the sacred mission of the Universal Church for many years to come.”
